  1. The way metaphors help send a message is they use a lot of imagery and this makes you visualize whats going on and because they use a lot of imagery the audience understands what the poem is about.

My general opinion on metaphors is they're a good way to get the message through because it helps a lot of people understand the poem better by using lots of imagery.

  6. Which was your favourite metaphor created? My favorite metaphor created was The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while because it's not that hard to comprehend and know what expression you'd have from not eating for a while would look like.

How do metaphors help send a message? It helps send a message by giving a clear visual in the readers head by comparing it to something that he/she wont have trouble imagining. Example; a hungry look.
What imagery does this metaphor give you? It sort of gives me the imagery of an angry wolf, so I can compare that to a fighter by aggression.
What are your general opinions on metaphors in poetry?
I think metaphors are important in poetry and even writing because they help the reader understand unfamiliar texts. Matt-5-

My favorite metaphor is "Conscience is a man’s compass.
Vincent Van Gogh" because I think it has a lot of meaning behind it and I can relate to it because I would much rather follow my gut than my brain.
I think that metaphors send a message by making you look whats behind it, I think that all metaphors make you imply their meaning.
This metaphor makes me visualize someone that doesn't really follow their mind but follows their gut.
