I think it means that its better to try something even if you cant do it well than to give up and not even try, thinking that you cant do it, and never to give up even if you think its too complicated.
I think this quote is a very inspirational. It as a lot of meaning to me. I think it means that instead of cheating try your best and if your best isn't a A+ at least you know you tried your best without lying or cheating.
