Dinner Out During the Holidays - This is your math homework for this week! Remember to record your scores daily in your agenda.

Perhaps you will have more opportunity to go out to a restaurant to eat this holiday season. To show appreciation for your servers, it is standard to leave a tip when you are paying the bill. Try these problems this week and then ask your parents if you can help to calculate the tip when you go out to dinner.
(let me know if you find some amazing restaurants to eat at :)
Calculating Tips

When Mr. Fraser took me out for my birthday dinner, he tipped the server 30%. In dollars it was, $37.46.
1. What was the cost of our meal?
2. How much did it cost us in total to go out to the restaurant to eat?
(It was a really good steak!)
